Objectives
This Working Group is led by The Brazilian Bar and the Union Internationale des Avocats.
It is focused on achieving equality female lawyers and encouraging law societies to actively support equality in the legal profession and promote greater participation and leadership of women in the profession. It also aims to breakdown women’s invisibility by supporting efforts to record and highlight women’s history and contribution to the legal profession.
Some of the Working Group’s objectives include generating quantitative and qualitative data and research projects to continue building the business case of women in the profession as well as creating best practices; and actively supporting the creation of women’s division and/or gender equality committees in law societies and bar associations.
